Network Speed Test

Measure download and upload bandwidth on demand, together with latency and jitter, shown on live gauges. Nothing is transferred until you press start.

The test really consumes your data: 10 seconds of download at 100 Mbps is about 125 MB. Be careful on metered mobile connections. The page never starts a test on its own.

All nodes are third-party public services: they measure the path to that CDN edge, not to this site, and some may be unreachable on certain networks.

Upload is measured against the shared Cloudflare endpoint; download and latency use the selected node.

Press start to measure latency, download and upload in sequence. The page never starts on its own.

Requests go straight from your browser to a third-party node. This site never relays the traffic and never stores results.

Recent tests

Stored only in this browser, never uploaded or synced across devices. The last 20 runs are kept.

Download counts the bytes actually read from the stream and upload counts XHR progress events. Both divide by wall-clock time, so parallel streams are not under-reported.

No node touches this site's servers, so the test does not consume our bandwidth; each node is a public CDN and the speed depends on your route to it.

On phones, turn off power saving and stay close to the router. Results are steadier on 5 GHz Wi-Fi or 5G.

Each phase stops after 2 GB and reports the rate measured so far, so a very fast link cannot burn tens of gigabytes. Choosing "No limit" removes this cap and the test runs until you stop it.
